Day 1 : Namib Desert (Sossusvlei)

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup between 08:00 and 08:30 from anywhere in Windhoek. The capital city is nestled among rugged mountains, and our route takes us over the Eros Mountains and through the scenic Khomas Hochland before descending into the vast, open plains of the desert savannah. Along the way, we stop in the quaint settlement of Solitaire, a popular refueling point where you might also indulge in a cup of tea or a famous slice of apple pie.
By early afternoon, we arrive at our lodge, a tranquil retreat set against the backdrop of ancient, fossilized dunes. With two inviting swimming pools and a nearby waterhole, the lodge offers the perfect balance of relaxation and immersion in nature. Travelers can book one of the activities that the lodge offers like a sundown drive or take a hike through the surrounding desert landscapes. Stargaze at night.

Day 2 : Namib Desert (Sossusvlei)

We begin the day with an early morning drive, 70 km through the scenic Sesriem Gate to reach Sossusvlei, home to the world’s tallest dunes, recently designated a UNESCO World Heritage site as the ‘Sand Sea’. Here, you have the option to climb the stunning Dune 45, taking in the vast, orange-hued desert landscape.
After the climb, we embark on a 5 km off-road 4x4 trail to visit the surreal Deadvlei, where ancient, lifeless acacia trees stand amidst a vast clay pan, creating a striking and otherworldly scene.
After a delicious lunch at Sossusvlei Lodge, we explore Sesriem Canyon, a narrow gorge carved by the Tsauchab River, followed by a visit to the impressive Elim Dune, a towering sand formation offering panoramic views of the surrounding desert.
We then head back to our lodge for a relaxing dinner and a well-deserved rest, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the desert.

Day 3 : Swakopmund (Atlantic Coast)

After breakfast, the adventure continues as we journey over 400 km through the breathtaking Namib-Naukluft Park towards Swakopmund. Along the way, we traverse the Kuiseb Pass and Gaub Pass, both offering spectacular views of the rugged canyons and fascinating rock formations carved by ancient rivers. The vast Namib Desert stretches endlessly before us, its golden dunes and rocky plains home to a variety of wildlife. Keep an eye out for oryx, springbok, mountain zebras, giraffes, and the world’s largest flightless birds – ostriches.
A highlight of the journey is crossing the Tropic of Capricorn, a famous geographical landmark where we take a moment to celebrate and capture some memorable photos. As we approach the coast, we stop at Walvis Bay Lagoon, a thriving wetland where Greater and Lesser Flamingos gather in large numbers, along with other bird species drawn to the rich waters of the Benguela Current, and also visit the saltworks. After soaking in the coastal beauty, we continue our journey to Swakopmund, where the desert meets the Atlantic Ocean. Dinner today will be at your discretion.

Day 4 : Swakopmund (Atlantic Coast)

Today you have time for optional activities on the coast. Swakopmund is a picturesque coastal town with beautiful German colonial architecture, palm-lined streets, great dining options, shopping spots, a lovely beach, and a vibrant open-air curio market. You’ll have the afternoon to explore at your leisure. The town boasts a fascinating museum and aquarium, among other attractions. You can choose from plenty of optional activities, such as a boat tour with oysters and champagne, scenic flights or micro-light flights over the desert, fishing trips, quad-biking in the dunes, snake park, crystal gallery, kayaking with the seals sandboarding, and even skydiving. Your guide will go over all these options and help with pre-bookings. Please note that all extra activities are subject to availability and are at your own risk and expense. Dinner today will be at your discretion.

Day 5 : Etosha National Park

After breakfast, we head towards Etosha National Park, covering approximately 500 km, with a stop for lunch along the way. We arrive in the afternoon and enter the park through Anderson Gate, then proceed to Okaukuejo. After checking in, we'll embark on an afternoon game drive in our private vehicle, visiting various waterholes. Depending on luck, we may spot predators, we could see zebra, giraffe, elephant, rhino, and different antelope species. After dinner, enjoy the floodlit waterhole where you can watch wildlife come to drink.
We'll spend both nights inside the park. Etosha is home to over 100 mammal species, 340 bird species, and 110 reptiles, including lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, hyena, springbok, zebra, and eland. The park is known for its many waterholes, which are crucial, especially in the dry season, for game viewing. The vegetation is mostly mopane woodland and grassy plains. The Etosha Pan, a massive white salt pan, dominates the park and, after heavy rain, fills with water, attracting thousands of wading birds, including flamingos.
Okaukuejo Resort is known for its floodlit waterhole where wildlife gathers, offering a great opportunity to observe animal interactions. The resort also offers a restaurant, bar, shop, swimming pool, and kiosk.

Day 6 : Etosha National Park

Today, we’ll spend most of the day exploring Etosha in search of wildlife. We’ll visit several waterholes and take in the vast expanse of the Etosha Pan, a dry, shimmering salt flat covering around 5,000 km², often referred to as the “place of dry water.” This unique landscape offers the chance to witness large herds of game in an otherworldly setting.
The game viewing is typically outstanding, with close-up sightings of springboks, zebras, impalas, giraffes, gemsboks, and a variety of bird species. We may also encounter elephants and lions. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a relaxing glass of wine while taking in a stunning sunset at the floodlit waterhole. Accommodation is at another resort inside the park.

Day 7 : Windhoek

After a delicious breakfast, we begin our journey back to Windhoek, passing through charming small towns along the way. Before reaching the city, we'll make a stop in Okahandja to visit Namibia’s largest wood-carving market. We’re expected to arrive in Windhoek around 16:30, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation. End of tour.
